Short version: the state, income figure, or fee you type into a calculator stays on your device. Here is the longer version of what does and does not leave your browser.
The LLC Cost Calculator, the LLC Tax Calculator, and the LLC vs Sole Proprietor Calculator run as JavaScript on your device. Picking a state or entering a profit estimate triggers a calculation locally; nothing you type is sent to a server, logged, or saved anywhere by us. Close the tab and the numbers are gone.
The contact page is the one part of this site that transmits anything you type. It uses Web3Forms, a third-party form processor, to deliver your name, email address, and message to our inbox. We use that information only to reply, and we do not add it to a mailing list.
The state filing fees shown across this site come from a dataset we maintain and publish on the 2026 LLC Filing Fees by State page, downloadable as a CSV. That dataset describes public state fee schedules, not anything about you or your visit.
We use Google Analytics to see which guides and calculators get used, so we know what to fix or expand next. It sets its own cookies under Google's policies. You can block it with a browser extension or your browser's tracking settings without affecting how the calculators work.
This site runs Google AdSense to stay free. AdSense and its partners may set cookies to show ads based on your visit here and elsewhere. You can manage ad personalization in your Google account settings at any time.
